Pixel & Ink Creative is a gift and art brand based in southwest Louisiana: a bit of whimsy, a mix of bright colors, vintage vibes, and a hefty dollop of snark + sass! We got our start in 2014 after Daneisha, a lifelong creator and lover of animals, came up with Pixel & Ink Creative, the name born out of her transition from ink sketches to digital artwork. As the brain behind Pixel & Ink Creative, many of Daneisha’s influences stem from her childhood love of animals and being in nature (as long as it’s not too hot!). So much of her inspiration is found in vintage and midcentury design, pop culture, and of course, Louisiana wildlife and culture .

One thing people probably don't realize about what I do:
How much time I spend on behind the scenes stuff that no one ever sees! Sourcing products, manufacturers, getting quotes, planning out (and creating!) social media posts, creating and sending out newsletters, etc. It's a lot. lol

Favorite self care activity:
Skating and walking in the woods!
The hardest part lately of running my business / creating:
The discouragement when all that work I mentioned doesn't pay off. Which unfortunately is often. It's hard for me to be creative and make new art when it feels pointless at times. I'm totally fine with being the bummer of the group. LOL

One way I fight creative burnout is:
I've recently tried out sketching every idea I have. I find it helpful to have it somewhere just in case I decide to finish it. Even if it's several months later.
