Ok first off, I basically start the day fighting to stay asleep & end the day fighting to stay awake. I’m the last one to wake up in the house so there’s usually coffee waiting for me when I decide to roll out of bed (thx Jordan). Next, I snuggle my pets, check my phone, & walk the 6 feet “commute” to my work station. My projects are always different, making each day unique - which I kind of love. I’m usually at home on my Wacom tablet (looks like a giant iPad with a stylus pen) drawing something, sending emails, or doing something in-person (like murals or a teaching gig). When I’m between projects, I doodle in my sketchbook or play around on my iPad to explore new ideas. I love listening to audio books while I work or blasting upbeat pop music (helloooo Trolls 2 soundtrack!!!!!). I usually stop working around 6 or 7 & end the day with a walk with my husband & pup.
Pink (like the light one above on the website header) especially paired with red or HOT pink.

Going on “little adventures” like visiting a thrift store, taking out our canoe, or mini road trips to anywhere new.
Feeling connected matters a lot to me and my work. I always do my best to ask a lot of questions & understand the heart of the project before I sketch out ideas. I want to end each project knowing I represented the idea well & made my client proud.
My husband! He is a tech wizard, has a great design sense, & also works from home…literally a few feet away from me. Sometimes I just need another set of eyes on what I’m drawing or to help me talk out a problem.
Working in my pajamas with my pets snoozing nearby.
Ok sometimes pjs & pets are a little lonely lol. Creating artwork is a pretty solitary task so I definitely crave seeing people from time to time & miss the comradery of being part of a team. Like when something goes wrong there’s really only one person to blame…and that person is looking back at me in the mirror. Yikes. Also, it’s hard to receive so much rejection. Most emails I send out, programs I apply for, & jobs I bid come back with a big “no thanks”…but it does make the “yes” that much more sweet when it comes.
I sell my work on my website (that you’re on right now actually, lol) I also create custom illustrations, products, & artwork for companies & individuals so hit me up with your idea :)
